Project story

Working with Sandwich Lakes has been a brilliant journey. The brief was clear, bring together their fishery, café, and caravan park into one modern, easy-to-use website that truly reflects the place.

We went back to the foundations, creating a full new brand identity, colour system and logo before moving into the website build itself. On spec and on time, we delivered a custom WordPress site with an integrated booking system and e-commerce shop, ensuring every part of their business is represented seamlessly.

The result is a professional, cohesive platform that finally unites everything Sandwich Lakes has to offer ready for their next stage of growth.

Project at a glance

  • Objective: Unite three on-site businesses (Fisheries, Waterside Café, Caravan Park) under a single, modern brand and digital experience.

Brand system

Logo concept: A stylised fish, reeds, caravan and sunset – capturing all parts of Sandwich Lakes in one friendly, illustrative mark.

Headings: Lora / Playfair
Body: Inter / Open Sans

  • Forest Green: #3B5030 (Headings, primary UI)
  • Rich Clay Brown: #884B2D (Primary buttons & accents)
  • Warm Gold: #DDBE80 (Highlights, secondary CTAs)

Primary buttons: Rich Clay Brown with white text, soft-rounded corners, subtle hover shadow.
Secondary buttons: Warm Gold with dark text.

Platform: WordPress (custom theme) + WooCommerce + bookings.
Architecture: Clear nav for Our Lakes, Waterside Café, Caravan & Motorhome, Prices, Shop, Gallery, News, Contact.
Performance: Lean plugin set, image optimisation, caching, and database clean-up for speedy load times.
