We’re pleased to announce that the Cubeko Electrical website is now officially live following a full technical overhaul by Rose of the Shires.

This wasn’t just a visual refresh. The project involved a complete rebuild of the website’s foundations to improve performance, search visibility, and long-term scalability.

Why the rebuild was needed

The previous Cubeko website had been built on an older version of WordPress, pre-Gutenberg. While it appeared to function normally, a critical issue was discovered during the hosting transfer.

While updating the Google sitemap, we identified that the WordPress setting “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” was enabled. This meant search engines such as Google were being instructed not to index the website, which explained the lack of search visibility.

Rather than applying a short-term fix to an ageing setup, we recommended a full modern rebuild.

What we delivered

The new Cubeko Electrical website has been rebuilt from the ground up with a modern, SEO-ready structure:

• Upgraded to the latest version of WordPress
• Rebuilt using the Salient theme for improved performance and flexibility
• New News / Blog section to support ongoing content and updates
• New Projects / Portfolio section to showcase completed works
• SEO-friendly page structure throughout
• Yoast SEO installed and fully configured
• Fresh XML sitemap generated and submitted
• Search engine indexing correctly enabled
• Built for long-term growth

The relaunch gives Cubeko Electrical a website that is easier to manage, faster to load, and properly structured for search engines.

It also creates a strong foundation for:

• Improved local SEO visibility
• Regular content updates through news posts
• Clear presentation of commercial and residential projects
• Better mobile performance and user experience

Most importantly, the technical barriers that were previously limiting visibility have now been fully resolved.
